History
The Clinic started its operations in 2002. It was founded by Krzysztof Arciszewski , MD- a specialist of gynecology and obstetrics and its today's owner.
The Clinic's history is preceded by the over twenty-year medical practice of its owner. In November 1990 doctor Arciszewski opened one of the first private gynecological consulting centers in Bialystok, which was located at Fabryczna Street. The small office being, as for that time, rich in medical equipment, occurred to be very competitive to the conditions offered by public hospitals. Its female patients wiilingly made their appointments with the doctor who most cared about the comfort of the medical checks carried out and guaranteed high level of medical services. The modern approach and personal involvement of doctor Arciszewski made his office very popular in a very short time.
The fast development of operations induced the need of changing the office to a more spacious one. In 1992 doctor Arciszewski moved his premises a few blocks away to the building at Poleska Street. However, this location soon occurred to be insufficient and it was essential to find a more favorable place in the city center this time. The third office was placed not far from the existing Clinic at the Zamenhofa Street. This location proved to be most convenient for patients - it provided an opportunity of easy and comfortable access from any location in Bialystok.
It took another eight years for dr Arciszewski to decide to expand the business and establish the largest medical center in the province. The new facility was meant not only to be larger but also to enable its owner to expand services by creating a new specialization of diabetes - led by doctor Malgorzata Arciszewska.
Estabilishement of the Clinic was associated with a large investment. The historic tenement house at 19 Zamenhofa St. in Bialystok, which Dr. Arciszewski chosen as the place to continue his medical practice, had been completely destroyed. The building was renovated from the grounds including the foundations. The grand opening of the Clinic located in the renovated building took place at the beginning of December 2002.
The new medical center offered services in two different medical fields. Doctor Krzysztof Arciszewski led the Polyclinic of Gynaecology and Obstetrics and doctor Malgorzata Arciszewska supervised the Specialized Center for Internal Medicine and Diabetology, which specializes in diabetes and obesity treatment.
The Clinic has been equipped with the state-of the-art medical technology. In 2003, Dr. Arciszewski bought the first in Poland Ultrasound Scanner (730 VOLUSON Expert) that allows to conduct high quality ultrasonographic examinations. Women really enjoyed watching ultrasound images of their babies in three-dimensional projections. The details visible in the image such as the tiny fingers inserted in the little mouth or the innocent look on the face of the baby, moved many mothers into tears.
In 2003 the laparoscopy operations were introduced in the Clinic. It was a much less invasive method than standard operations. They enabled performing only minor skin cuts when conducting laparotomy. Next year, the Clinic became the first medical center in the province where the laparoscopy method was applied to performance of specialized procedures such as hysterectomy or myomectomy. Moreover, the Clinic become the only center in the region specializing in treating the uterus neoplasm changes through complete removal of the birth organ by the laparoscopy method.
In 2007 the decision on expanding the Clinic's operations was made. The medical practice of Dr. Małgorzata Arciszewska was moved to the new spacious office to another building across the street, and the Clinic was thoroughly adapted to the gynecology and obstetrics operations.
Since late 2009 the Clinic has been being renovated and enlarged. The patients may now use selected new facilities such as a birthwheel enabling to give birth in a vertical position or a birth bed with massage function which minimizes birth pains. The new and very comfortable patients' rooms have already been opened. When the renovation works are finished the Clinic will become one of the most modern and best equipped Polish medical centers specializing in gynecology and obstetrics.
